I still need to get used to this lay out, anyone know how to nuke favorites or messages?

Welcome back! As far as I'm aware, there's no easy select-all tool for messages, but the interface is pretty complex, so I might be missing something. I'll double-check once I have some messages. On the plus side, it's easy to delete things in bulk, just park your mouse over the Delete button on the first message in the group, and click a lot; the messages will slide into place once the first one is gone.
